Five years of recognition – One growing legacy
TORONTO, Oct. 7, 2026 /CNW/ – More than 500 women gathered at Toronto's iconic Fairmont Royal York on September 25 to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Women Empowerment Awards, an unforgettable evening recognizing extraordinary women, inspiring leadership, and five years of creating opportunities for women and girls across Canada.
Presented by Rogers with lead sponsor Mantella Corporation, the milestone gala brought together entrepreneurs, executives, philanthropists, government representatives, and community leaders for an evening of celebration, inspiration, and connection.
The evening, hosted by Tammie Sutherland of Breakfast Television and Cynthia Mulligan of CityNews, featured prestigious government recognition, ten outstanding award recipients, and an electrifying performance by JUNO Awards-winning vocalist Simone Denny. Her performance of Superstar had the entire ballroom on its feet, singing, dancing, and joining her on stage in a spectacular celebration of sisterhood.
